State rules Floresville recall vote is invalid

Two Floresville City Council members won't have to worry about a recall election in May after the secretary of state released an opinion saying the election wasn't allowed because it is too close to their scheduled re-election dates, city officials said.
Mayor pro-tem Rudy G. Sanchez and Councilwoman Gloriana Ortiz cannot be recalled six months before coming up for re-election, Mayor Daniel Tejada said.
